Nevion’s media orchestration platform, VideoIPath, now supports Amazon Web Services (AWS) Media Services.

Nevion has provided a contribution solution to Italian telecom service provider EI Towers to support the coverage of Italy’s top football (soccer) league, Serie A.

VideoIPath now supports federation, or the ability for multiple autonomous instances of VideoIPath to collaborate within and across locations.

Nevion commissioned leading UK research house, OnePoll, to survey 250 senior technology decision makers within the broadcast industry on their attitudes to Cloud adoption within their organization. The respondents came from 10 regions across the globe, including Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, the Nordics, Spain, the UK and the U.S.

CABSAT 2022 took place 17-19 May, and Nevion was there, sharing with visitors the Sony and Nevion joint value proposition.

The 2022 edition of the NABshow is now over. This was the first major event for Nevion since its acquisition by Sony in October 2020, and indeed the first opportunity to showcase our joint value proposition.

At the NAB Show, which kicks off on Sunday April 24th at 10:00 am, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Nevion will for the first time be on Sony’s booth (C10901). In the “Networked Live Production” area of the booth, Nevion and Sony will be talking about our vision for a distributed production that leverages connectivity in all its forms – LANs, WANs, 5G – and mixes production capabilities on the ground and in the Cloud. We will be showcasing demos highlighting the joint value proposition our companies offer, with VideoIPath orchestrating media flows, and Virtuoso involved as a JPEG XS gateway – amongst others.

VideoIPath now supports Cisco Nexus 9000 Non-Blocking Multicast (NBM) in both active and passive mode, and multicast NATing. The latest update means customers can now take full advantage of Cisco’s Data Center Network Manager (DCNM) in conjunction with VideoIPath.
