We are the architects of virtualized media production.

For over 20 years, we have been providing award-winning, mission-critical, real-time media transport and processing solutions to broadcasters, telecom service providers, governmental agencies and other industries.

Our core competencies are designing, developing, deploying and supporting Software Defined Technologies that bring virtualization capabilities, enabling our customers to become more agile, productive and ultimately more competitive. 

Nevion is a Sony Group company, having been acquired in 2020, following the successful establishment of a strategic partnership between both companies in 2019.
Nevion’s media connectivity experience, expertise, products and services are a key part of Sony’s vision for revolutionising production workflows, by combining ground (on-premise) and Cloud production – enabling customers to leverage the best resources available to them (place, processing and people), wherever they are located.

Our Management Team

Thomas Heinzer

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Thomas Heinzer has more than 25 years of experience in international broadcast and telecom business. He co-founded Nevion (former Network Electronics) in 1996. Prior to Nevion he served in various managing positions at broadcast system integration and equipment manufacturing companies in Germany and Norway.  Since Nevion’s inception he has been a driving force in growing the company from a small broadcast equipment start-up to a global leader in the area of media transport and service management solutions. He has been instrumental in the company’s M&A activities and has served several managerial positions in Nevion. He holds a Master’s Degree in Electronics and Data communication from the University of Hamburg.

Jørgen Mørkved

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Jørgen Mørkved joined Nevion as CFO in August 2017. Jørgen has broad management experience from various industries and has, for the last 15 years, served as CFO in Clean Marine AS, Verdane Capital Advisors AS, McKinsey & Company Norway and McCann Worldgroup Norway. He also has several years of audit experience from Arthur Andersen & Co. He holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration (Siviløkonom) from BI Norwegian Business School and a MSc in Accounting and Auditing (State Authorized Public Accountant) from NHH Norwegian School of Economics.

Johnny Dolvik

CHIEF PRODUCT AND DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Johnny Dolvik, one of the digital TV industry’s true pioneers, brings more than 20 years of experience from the broadcast equipment industry to Nevion. Johnny, CEO and co-founder of T-VIPS was instrumental in growing the company to a market leader in video transport over IP and digital terrestrial networks. Prior to his tenure at T-VIPS, he held several management positions at TANDBERG Television, including segment director broadband and head of development. Johnny holds a Siv.Ing degree from Norwegian NTH, the Norwegian Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Business Administration from NHH, the Norwegian School of Economics.

Petter Kvaal Djupvik

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Petter Kvaal Djupvik served as vice president for global operations at Eltek ASA before he was appointed COO of Network Electronics (now Nevion) in May 2007. Previously, he served as director of global supply at Power-One for five years. His background also includes experience at Lawson as a consultant manager, Norautron as QA- and MA-manager and as a change management consultant at Accenture. Petter holds a Master of Industrial Engineering & Management degree from the Norwegian University of Science & Technology (NTNU).

Heidi Mello Stavnar

CHIEF PEOPLE OFFICER

Having joined Nevion in 2006, Heidi Mello Stavnar was VP of Finance and Administration until she was given the opportunity in 2019  to become Chief People Officer with a responsibility to create and run Nevion’s new strategic department for people and culture – a business area she feels passionate about. Prior to Nevion, Heidi held several managerial positions within finance, administration and HR, including being the Finance Director for SCA Hygiene Products’ Engineering Division, the Finance & Accounting Manager at Kongsberg Norcontrol IT and a Senior Consultant for Oseberg Solutions. Heidi holds a degree in Business Administration from BI Norwegian Business School

Hans Hasselbach

CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER

Hans Hasselbach has been at Nevion for over 13 years, working in various in a Sales Management positions. He has been instrumental in building Nevion’s business partner community and has also played a key role in growing Nevion’s business in Asia. Prior to joining Nevion, Hans held sales management positions at Scientific Atlanta (now part of Cisco) and Alphatron Broadcast Electronics. Hans has over 30 years of business development and sales in the industry. He holds a Dutch National Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from the Royal PBNA institution.

Hiroyasu “Harry” Noguchi

CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER

Harry Noguchi joined Nevion’s management team in 2019, following the investment in Nevion by Sony Imaging Products & Solutions (SIPS) – a project which he led on behalf of Sony. He has over 10 years of strategy development experience in Sony HQ and professional business units in Japan. Prior to this, he held various managerial positions in Sony R&D, Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, and Ericsson AB.  Harry holds a Ph.D. EE in Microstructures in III-V Semiconductors, a MEEE in Microstructures in III-V Semiconductors and a BEEE, all from the University of Tokyo. 

Andy Rayner

Andy Rayner

CHIEF TECHNOLOGIST

Andy Rayner is a highly experienced UK-based broadcast & telecoms technologist. He spent 22 years heading up the broadcast technology sector at British Telecom, which included architecting the world’s first MPLS-TE Global Media Network and innovating IP broadcast technology solutions.  He joined Nevion in 2010 and has since been driving the companies technology roadmap & engineering architecture, speaking at many broadcast conferences and engaging with the evolution of global broadcast standards. He holds many patents from his work both at Nevion & BT. Andy is also currently a director of the Video Services Forum and a SMPTE fellow. He holds a degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the university of Sheffield. During his time with BT he was awarded the prestigious Martlesham Gold Medal for technical innovation.

Olivier Suard

VICE-PRESIDENT OF MARKETING

Olivier Suard joined Nevion in November 2013, bringing with him over 20 years of international experience in the software industry, especially for telecoms, broadcasting and media. Having started his career in technical roles (including software development, support and pre-sales), Olivier moved into product marketing and marketing communications at the turn of the century, working amongst others for Lucent and Comptel (now part of Nokia). Olivier holds a French Baccalauréat, an honors degree in Computer Science from Queen Mary College (London, UK) and an MBA from the Open Business School (UK)

Martin Walbum

SVP SOLUTION STRATEGY

Martin Walbum joined Nevion in 2010, bringing with him close to twenty years of experience in data communications, IT and broadcasting, which is used to help the Nevion lead the broadcast industry towards IP technology. Prior to joining Nevion, Martin worked for a number of vendors of telecom and data-communications equipment, including Siemens, Bay Networks and Nortel, in leading roles in strategic business development, product management and technical solution design. Martin holds an engineering degree in electro-mechanics from the Technical University of Denmark as well as an executive MBA from AVT Business School in Copenhagen.

Jan Helgesen

SVP MEDIA NETWORK SOLUTIONS

Jan Helgesen joined Nevion in 2008 as a product manager and was responsible for introducing and establishing Nevion’s VideoIPath as the market leading orchestration and SDN control system for media networks. Jan is currently responsible for solution management within Nevion. Prior to joining Nevion, Jan was working in telecoms and specifically with mobile networks for Ericsson, where he started as a software developer and later moved into customer facing roles as a solution manager and consultant. Later he also worked in IT as a project manager for FAST Search (now part of Microsoft). Jan holds a Master of Science degree from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in computer science and telecommunications.
